Rescue Dog For Adoption – Scribe

I have been photographing dogs for DC Rescue Dogs (based in Gordonton, 15 minutes North of Hamilton) for the past year and love having the opportunity to help these beautiful dogs find homes. In this new blog series I will be featuring some of the dogs I meet who are looking for their forever homes.

I met the handsome Scribe on Sunday when I met up with Cherie (the superwoman behind DC Rescue Dogs) at Lake D. I quickly fell in love!

Scribe, like most rescue dogs, hasn’t had the greatest start in life. He found himself abandoned in the pound with an uncertain future and D-day fast approaching. Luckily for him, a lovely lady got in touch with DC Rescue Dogs and Cherie was able to give him a second chance at life.

Scribe is a five and a half month old cross-bred puppy, possibly a Lab x Mastiff or Boxer (though like most pound rescues, we may never know for sure). He has the sweetest nature and will make an amazing family pet for a loving home. He loved exploring the lake but never strayed too far. He would be fine as an only pet or with other furry friends, but most of all he wants nothing more than a person to call his own.

Scribe will go to his new home desexed, had 1st vaccination incl lepto, microchipped, council registered 13/14, registration with NZCAR, worm/flea treated and his new necklace that he proudly wears so an adoption donation of $250 to the DC Rescue Dogs vet rescue account is asked to help recover part of his rescue costs.

Owner occupied/fully fenced properties are a condition of adoption.

Scribe is currently fostered on a lifestyle block with horses, sheep, calves, numerous other dogs and a cat.
