Giving Back

One of my biggest passions in life is animal rescue. I’ve been rescuing and rehoming dogs since I was a teenager, and am now one of the trustees helping to run DC Rescue Dogs. We rescue and rehome over 200 dogs every year, of all different ages and breeds. I also foster as much as I can, with a special interest in working type dogs. My foster dogs have gone on to be working farm dogs, search and rescue dogs as well as much loved family pets. I also do the web design and most photography for the rescue, and create the yearly fundraising calendar which sells out every year. The images are also used for promotional work, having been featured on LUSH charity pots, Botany Town Centre advertising material and media articles for different events.

I also run the NZ Photographers for Animal Rescue group on Facebook, which connects other rescues with photographers to help animals in need capture the attention of their forever homes even faster.
